Online Parts Work Therapy in Colorado
Are You Lost in the Noise of Your Own Mind, Pulled in Too Many Directions to Know What You Actually Want?
You have so many conflicting feelings, and you can't stop overthinking things… What do I really want? Who am I, really? So many questions live inside your head, and it’s like you’ve gotten lost in there. Lost in your own mind, in the noise, in the loop of trying to figure it out.
And somewhere in the middle of all that overthinking, you've lost the thread of yourself.
If this sounds familiar, you're not alone, and you're not broken. The truth is, every single one of us has different parts inside, parts that want different things, feel different feelings, and sometimes pull us in completely opposite directions. That's not a flaw. That's just how human beings are wired. When those parts are in conflict, or when some of them have been working overtime for a long time, the inner world can get very loud and very hard to navigate. IFS-informed online therapy in Colorado can help you turn down the volume, understand what each part of you is actually trying to say, and find your way back to yourself.
You're Still Here, Still Asking
The fact that you're reading this means something. Some part of you still believes it's possible to feel less lost. Less tangled. More like yourself. And that part is worth listening to.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine curiosity about who you are. I'm here to sit with you inside the noise and help you start to make sense of it. Clients who work with me often describe feeling genuinely heard for the first time, not just their symptoms, but the whole complicated, contradictory, very human experience of being them.
I believe the conflicting feelings you carry aren't signs that something is broken in you. They're parts of you, each one with its own history, its own fears, its own reasons for showing up the way it does. When we start to understand those parts instead of fighting them, something shifts. The noise doesn't have to disappear for you to find your footing again.
How IFS-Informed Online Therapy in Colorado Works
IFS stands for Internal Family Systems. At its core, it's a way of understanding yourself that holds the idea that we all have many different inner parts. The overthinking, the conflicting desires, the part of you that wants one thing while another part wants something else entirely: none of that is a flaw. It's actually a map.
In our work together, we slow down and get curious about what's happening inside you. We look at the patterns that keep looping, the feelings that seem to contradict each other, the places where you feel stuck. Because I offer online therapy throughout Colorado, you can do this work from wherever feels most comfortable for you, your home, your office, anywhere you have a private space and a reliable connection.
Meet Your Anxiety and OCD Therapist in Denver
Hi! I'm Alison, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) offering IFS-informed online therapy for adults across Colorado. I work with people living with OCD and anxiety, people whose inner world feels loud and contradictory and exhausting, people who may look completely fine on the outside but feel like they're barely keeping it together on the inside.
Over time, many clients find that they:
- Feel less hijacked by their thoughts and more able to observe them
- Begin to understand what they actually want, separate from anxiety or fear
- Experience more moments of feeling settled in themselves
- Develop a clearer, kinder relationship with the parts of themselves they've been fighting
This isn't about eliminating the complexity of who you are. It's about learning to move through it with more ease.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is IFS-informed therapy, and how is it different from regular talk therapy?
IFS stands for Internal Family Systems. It's a way of understanding yourself that looks at your inner world as made up of many different parts, each with its own feelings, fears, and motivations. Rather than trying to change or eliminate the parts of you that feel problematic, IFS-informed therapy helps you get curious about them. That shift from fighting yourself to understanding yourself is often what makes the difference for people who feel stuck. It goes deeper than a lot of traditional talk therapy because we don’t just talk about your inner world, we actually create a supportive and loving relationship with it.
Are you certified in IFS?
I am an IFS-informed therapist, meaning my work is grounded in IFS principles and I have trained in this approach, though I am not a certified IFS practitioner. Many therapists work in an IFS-informed way, drawing on its framework and tools as part of a broader, integrative approach. If certification is important to you, that's a completely reasonable thing to ask about, and I’m happy to talk through my training and background during a consultation.
Do you offer in-person therapy?
No, all of my sessions are online therapy, and I work with adults throughout Colorado. Many clients find it easier to open up from the comfort of their own space. Sessions are held over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, so you can do this work from wherever feels right for you.
I live outside of Denver. Can I still work with you?
Of course! I offer online therapy throughout Colorado, so location is not a barrier. Whether you're in Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, or anywhere else in the state, you're welcome to reach out.
What kinds of concerns do you specialize in?
I work primarily with OCD and anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias. Most people I work with feel lost in their own heads, caught in cycles of overthinking, internal conflict, and self-doubt.
What if I've tried therapy before and it didn't help?
That's more common than you might think, and it doesn't mean therapy can't help you. Sometimes it's about finding the right fit, the right approach, or the right time. If previous experiences with therapy felt surface-level, or like you were just talking without anything actually shifting, an IFS-informed approach may feel different. It works at a level that a lot of conventional therapy doesn't reach. A free consultation is a low-stakes way to get a sense of whether this feels like a better fit.
How do I know if I'm ready for therapy?
You don't have to feel ready. Most people who reach out aren't sure they're ready; they just know something needs to change. If you're exhausted by the noise in your head, if you've been trying to figure yourself out on your own and keep hitting a wall, that's enough of a reason to reach out. You don't need to have it all figured out before your first session.
What does a first session look like?
The first session is really about getting to know you. There is no pressure to dive into the hardest stuff right away. I will ask about what's been going on, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping for. It is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for whether this is the right fit. There is no pressure to have everything figured out before you show up.
How long does therapy typically take?
There's no single answer to this because everyone's experience is different. Some clients come in with a specific goal and feel ready to move on after a few months. Others find that the work opens up something deeper and they want to continue longer. I will check in with you regularly to make sure you’re getting what you need from our time together.
What does online therapy in Colorado cost, and do you accept insurance?
I currently accept the following insurances: Medicaid (CO Access), United Healthcare, and Aetna. If you do not have insurance or don’t want to use it, my private pay rate is $170 per 55 minute session. I am happy to provide superbills if you wish to request out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance company.
Is what I share in therapy confidential?
Yes. Everything you share in therapy is confidential, with a few specific legal and ethical exceptions that I will explain during your first session. You can speak freely knowing that what you share stays between you and your therapist. That sense of safety is foundational to the work.
What if I'm not sure OCD or anxiety is really what I'm dealing with?
You don't need a diagnosis to reach out. Many people come into therapy knowing only that something feels off, that their mind won't quiet down, that they feel lost or stuck or not quite like themselves. A label is never a requirement for getting support. If what you've read here resonates with you, that's enough.
