All you want is to be happy. You’re trying your best, but it feels hopeless sometimes. These feelings of emptiness and sadness are hard to shake. You try to push them away but they keep coming back, sometimes stronger than they were before. There are moments when you start to feel better, but then something happens and you find yourself tumbling back into the depths. You feel guilty talking to other people about what you’re going through, so you end up isolating and pushing people away, which only makes you feel worse.
I help people experiencing depression reconnect with themselves and create a stronger sense of well-being and hope.
I strive to create a warm, safe space for you to go through the ebbs and flows, while providing empathy, insight, and support. We will work together to explore coping skills and tools that are effective for you so you can experience more presence and joy in your day-to-day life.
I use the evidence-based models Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as mindfulness techniques, as these approaches have all been proven to be effective in treating depression.
